Established 1960, Jack Swift started the business by supplying wholesale goods to florists. From a young man he always wanted to become his own boss and this was to be the ideal opportunity. With two VW Vans as delivery vehicles and a stall at a local market the business began to develop. Jack’s wife and young brother in law Ron Gilbey then joined the company. With increasing sales, extra storage space was required and the first of several premises was acquired as the wholesale trade grew.
Jack then decided to import the goods directly from the Far East in order to obtain the best possible prices for customers. Swift Imports (Shades) Ltd remains a family business today, employing over 25 staff, many of whom are family members. The principles also remain the same by offering our clients quality products, competitive pricing and excellent service.
We take pride in handpicking the highest quality products in our niche range and maintaining competitive pricing. With the benefit of 60 years of experience we are able to offer our wholesale and retail customers an excellent service based upon the years of knowledge that we have acquired.

With four purpose built showrooms and a vast range of products on display, we have a full range of seasonal items such as artificial Christmas trees, ribbon and tree decorations. We also have an extensive range of artificial flowers, plants and trees and gift items on display.
